There is nothing more special than capturing the first few weeks of your babies life, especially as they are precious moments that can often go by quickly. I'm a Mummy and I understand how time can fly and before you know, it can be too late to capture those little details.

I love to create soft, dreamy images of your baby in beautiful, sleepy, curly poses. I have a gorgeous selection of backdrops, props, delicate handmade wraps, outfits and accessories to enhance your images. In fact, I would go as far to say that I am addicted to buying Newborn outfits and accessories!

Safety First....One of the most important things when photographing Newborn Babies, is safety and this comes first during my sessions. I have been trained by three of the UK's leading Newborn Specialists and I am a member of Banpas, which is the only UK association of leading baby and newborn photographers. The association promotes safe working practises, amongst Newborn and Baby photography and are dedicated to ensuring that babies comfort and safety takes priority. There are many photographers who practise Newborn photography but it is vital when you make your selection, that you consider how safe their practices are. Do not be afraid to ask about their training. If they haven't had any, then they may not be the safest choice for your baby and you may regret the images too.

Booking...The perfect time to capture these poses, is within 4 days to 14 days new. This is the time when your baby is most sleepy and settled and therefore able to be posed into those curly shots. It is therefore a good idea to book your session BEFORE BABY ARRIVES, after your 20 week scan. I will require your Session fee to secure your booking. We will be able to pencil in a date, around your due date. Once your baby has arrived and you are home and settled, then i ask you to get in touch so that we can confirm the date. It is very important that you get in touch as soon as possible so we get the session in the right timeframe. Once they pass this age, it can become very hard to pose them.Prior to your session, I will provide you with a 'Preparation Advice Letter', which will tell you all the important things you need to do before the session to ensure we get the best curly, sleepy poses on the day.

Your Session...A newborn photo session can last somewhere between 3-4 hours. This allows for plenty of time to work around your baby's sleep and feeding patterns. I will work with your baby and photograph him/her during their sleepy time but we will need to break for feeding and cuddles in between. I am extremely patient and will take my time to work with Mum during your session. I have a specially designed log cabin studio within my home, which is prefect for little ones. It has a professional but cozy feel, whilst you get the benefit of boutique style images. I have changing facilities and a comfy area for feeding baby and for Mum to sit, relax, put her feet up and enjoy a cuppa whilst I photograph your baby (and have cuddles).

After your session , I will select the best 20-25 images and beautifully edit them. After approximately 2-3 weeks, they will then be added to an online Gallery for you to view and you are then free to select one of my packages should you wish to.
